March 12, 2010—Hold on to your fishnets, ladies & gentlemen! TXRD--Lonestar Rollergirls will host “Debs of the Derby: A Pin-Up-Scale Event” on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Tiniest Bar in Texas, located at 817 W. 5th Street. The lovely ladies will hold a silent auction in support of many local charities such as SIMS Foundation, 100 Club of Austin, Central Texas SPCA, St. Edward's Scholarship Fund, Boys and Girls Club of Austin, Texas GSA Network , GENaustin, and One Love.
On the auction block will be ten large-scale, full-color, pin-up style posters featuring our most fabulous TXRD girls including Miss Canada, Truckstop Trixie, Alison Chains, Evilynn Carnit, Rice Rice Baby, Miso Vicious, Ali Mony, Dirty Blonde, Lady Libertine, Holly Peño, Varuca Assault and Cocochina.
Don’t see your favorite rollergirl mentioned? Don’t fret! We will have other Debs of the Derby limited edition prints for sale, complete with autographs! But swing on by to get yours before they are gone. If that’s not enough to get your tail feathers a-shakin', there will be plenty to wet your whistle while you’re there. We’ve got more pin-the-tail on the rollergirl games, raffles, prizes, tasty treats, cocktails and TXRD merchandise you can shake a stick at.
The auction starts at 2:00 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. See you there!

Cowbells and Kitty Cats
Come watch as the rough-&-tumble Rhinestone Cowgirls challenge the 2009 Calvello Cup Champions, the Hellcats. The pink-clad vixens may have fought their way to a Calvello Cup Championship title, but the Rhinestone Cowgirls are hoppin’ mad after their loss to las Putas del Fuego in January. Will the Hellcats live up to their reputation, or will their bitter cries of defeat be drowned out by the ring of cowbells? Get yerself a ticket and find out!

TXRD Presents a Young Ladies’ Derby Camp!
TXRD is excited to announce that we will be holding a one-time derby camp for ladies 17 and younger. For safety’s sake, girls must be 4’10” or over in order to participate. The camp will be held Wednesdays from 5:15 to 6:30 and Saturdays from 3:00 to 4:30 from April 10 to May 22. We will hold a bout for the young ladies on the final day of training, and friends and family are invited to attend. Cost is $100, which includes 14 practices and admission to the Hellcats v. Holy Rollers game on May 8.

TXRD--Lonestar Rollergirls is a skater-owned and operated sports and entertainment company based in Austin, Texas. TXRD--Lonestar Rollergirls promotes friendship and competition between determined, beautiful, unique and, most of all, tough women. Founded in 2001 by She-E-Os Anya Jack, April Herman, Heather Burdick and Nancy Lynn, TXRD has captured the public's attention and has quickly become a Texas favorite. In 2003, TXRD purchased an original banked roller derby track and has since been providing derby fans with a new twist on the original style of roller derby. In 2005, our league participated in the filming of "Rollergirls," a 13-episode television show that aired on A&E and chronicled the lives of a few of our skaters, on and off the track.
