Can’t get enough banked track roller derby?

Well, insatiable fans, we’ve got an exciting announcement about Battle on the Bank and TXRD!

Ever since Texas Roller Derby spearheaded the rebirth of modern banked track derby, the sport has taken off across the country, and now our TXRD Lonestar Rollergirls are road-tripping to Philadelphia to throw down with the nation’s premiere banked leagues, including Arizona Derby Dames, LA Derby Dolls, SSRD, Tilted Thunder Railbirds, and more. That’s right: Battle on the Bank IX is about to kick off!

Founded in 2011 by the Roller Derby Coalition of Leagues (RDCL), BOTB is a celebration of the burgeoning banked track derby community, fostering healthy competition between existing leagues and supporting flat track leagues looking to “elevate” their game! The RDCL ruleset is a unique hybrid of WFTDA and banked track elements, so while you won’t see any pillow fights or theatrics here (because those are still 100% unique to Texas Roller Derby!), you can still expect high-speed jamming, powerful hits that wrap skaters around the rail, and all of the fierce athleticism that defines our sport.

Led by Cherry Bombs alum Maya Mayhem and bench coached by Annie Smokely, TXRD All Scar Army’s roster includes Milla Juke-a-Bitch, Rolla Parks, Heathen, Smash-U-Delirious, Soviet Crusha, MoLestHer, Jammit Janet, Bible ThumpHer, Elle B. Bach, Pea Khante, Juicy Cooter, and Hired Gun$ Shania Pain, Emerson Biggins, and Ramona deFlowers!
