Ain’t No Party Like a TXRD Party…

‘cause a TXRD party is mandatory. Well, if not mandatory, at least not-to-be-missed!

TXRD has whipped up the fun and plans to spread it on thick Feb 7th. The Parlor is the place to be when this 2014 Season Kick-Off Party begins. DJ Johnny Slug will spin some retro 80s tunes for dancing all evening. We’ve strung up a “dirty piñata” for fun and prizes, and there was even mention of some leg wrestling. We don’t have all the details but everyone knows derby girls change the rules anyway so details don‘t count!

Our very own super fan and super sponsor Laura Croteau from Rock City Realty will be displaying some of her amazing derby signage. If you have ever seen a large, clever, glittery sign in the crowd or on the track, this is the lady to compliment. Her artistic abilities have been gracing our bouts for years and we are happy to celebrate a show of her work and get our fans ready for the season opener on Feb 16th!

Now the most important part: The Parlor serves some amazing pizza and has plenty of local beers on hand. Be sure you bring your belly hungry and your mouth ready for a cold one. They can be found at 4301 Guadalupe – that’s going to be next to the Black Lagoon Gallery. We are going to cut the fantastic-ness loose at 8 pm. Don’t be late, or be prepared to hear “you missed it!,” because everyone knows something will be happening the whole time!
